About us

Trade Social Co is a social media marketing agency that works exclusively with tradies and trade businesses. We film, edit, caption, post, and manage social media content for a growing roster of clients across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. We're a small, fast-moving team and we love what we do — now we need someone who does too.

The role

We're looking for a part time all-rounder who can step into the full content process with minimal hand-holding. You'll be helping us keep up with an increasing client load — editing footage from shoots, writing captions, scheduling posts, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a flexible 16 hours per week role you can work around your own schedule.

What you'll be doing

  • Editing short-form video content (Reels, TikToks) from raw footage provided after shoots

  • Writing engaging captions tailored to each client's voice and platform

  • Scheduling and posting content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Light virtual assistant tasks — managing content calendars, organising files, coordinating approvals

  • Jumping on ad hoc content creation tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Strong short-form video editing skills — you know your way around CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar

  • Confident across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn

  • Caption writing ability — punchy, on-brand, platform-appropriate

  • Tech-savvy and self-sufficient — you pick up new tools and platforms quickly

  • Genuinely enjoys working with tradies and the industries they work in

  • Located in or near Wollongong or Penrith so we can easily hand off footage after shoots

  • Reliable, communicative, and takes ownership of their work

The details

  • Part time — 16 hours per week, flexible scheduling

  • Casual/contractor arrangement

  • Hourly rate (to be discussed based on experience)

  • Remote work with local footage drop-offs (Wollongong or Penrith based)
